Equipment Operator - Hernando, MS JOB SUMMARY: Performs various
project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety
of heavy/agricultural equipment that may include, but is not
limited to; front-end loaders, skid steers, track-hoes, and
bulldozers.
This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear
mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Always operate equipment in a safe manner
- Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to
assigned/approved destination.
- Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients
and the public.
- Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance
on the equipment.
- Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools
setup.
- Maintain operation records. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Communication skills - verbal and written.
- Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment safely.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to follow directions. Qualifications:

- Clean MVR
- Dump truck and/or yard jockey experience a plus, not required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Drivers' License
- Class A CDL a plus, not required.
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operator work experience
preferred.
- Clean MVR WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking,
Feeling, lifting to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing
- The employee is subject to confined spaces.
- The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions: No
effective protection from weather.
- The employee is subject to atmospheric conditions.
- The employee is subject to hazards: Including a variety of
physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts,
moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and
high places, exposure to high heat, or exposure to bio-solids.
