Job Description:
Full-Time, Grant-Funded Position(From the present until
September 2026)Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in educational administration, higher
education, curriculum development, an instructional content area,
or a related field/content area.
- Previous management experience in a low income, first
generation majority community college or high school, with
preference given to those applicants with experience supervising
federally-funded grant programs and program personnel.
- Must have a successful record of developing effective academic
support programming and retention activities for high-need students
and tracking outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work effectively with other departments and
personnel to ensure effective collaboration in achieving grant
goals and objectives.Responsibilities:The PBI Grant Director
reports to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs with
administrative responsibility for achieving grant program goals and
objectives, for ensuring the integrity of all grant records, for
managing the grant project budget, for ensuring the accuracy and
timeliness of all grant reports, and for adhering to federal
circulars and college policies and procedures governing grant
activities. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the
following:
- Supervise and evaluate grant personnel.
- Remain current on Title III and U.S. Department of Education
policies and grant terms/conditions to ensure program compliance
with applicable regulations.
- Authorize all Title III grant expenditures and manage grant
budgets ensuring compliance with federal circulars applicable to
Title III programs and adherence to ASU Mid-South's policy and
procedures.
- Ensure the completion of internal progress reports and
Personnel Activity Reports (PARs) each month and monitor time and
effort of grant-funded personnel.
- Oversee preparation of project fiscal and performance reports
and ensure accuracy of information and timeliness of
submissions.
- Supervise grant project plans and processes, monitoring
outcomes and working with the External Evaluator to ensure
comprehensive independent evaluation of project activities and
outcomes each year.
- Ensure regular meetings of grant personnel.
- Communicate effectively with internal constituencies to ensure
implementation of grant activities and goals.
- Work effectively to institutionalize new practices and
improvements developed by the grant.
- Ensure adequate documentation of grant activities is
maintained.
- Attend Title III national conference and attend workshops held
by the ASU Mid-South Grants Management Office to stay abreast of
policies, procedures, and compliance issues.
- Ensure the development and currency of a project manual which
specifies operating guidelines, policies, procedures, staff
responsibilities, lines of authority, and job descriptions and
includes examples of all required forms, reporting procedures,
contact information and grant timelines.
- Complete other grant-related duties as assigned.Salary: $59,823
